Question about the NFC license

Hello, we currently use a standard license for our 3CX hosted in Amazon Lightsail. Can we replace this with our own NFC license? We would appreciate any help you can provide.

You cannot replace a prod license with NFR or vis versa

For the Amazon Lightsail instance, we need to unlink the FQDN from our current instance, stop the current instance, deploy a new one, install the NFR key, and then reassign this FQDN. Am I missing something? Please advice.

Take a backup without FQDN/License Key
Remove and reinstall 3CX
During restore, enter your NFR key and choose your backup to restore

Regarding your FQDN - is this a 3CX FQDN or custom? You might need to release, but you may have an issue getting it back if it's a 3CX FQDN. Proceed carefully here.

Hello, thank you everyone for your responses. Just to clarify, the FQDN I mentioned earlier is associated with our 3CX system. My plan is to detach the FQDN from our current Lightsail instance, set up a new instance and then re-link the same FQDN to minimize downtime and avoid any potential issues with phone reprovisioning.

I don't think you are understanding. The FQDN is usually tied to a specific license key. So depending on if that FQDN is issued by 3CX or not may change the steps here. But you typically need to unlink the FQDN from the license key, although doing so on a 3CX FQDN could cause the FQDN to become unassigned and unrecoverable.
