So this is the situation. We upgraded a premise Linux based system to v20 and the upgrade completed successfully but the Yealink phones are not registering. I can ping the fqdn of 3CX and it resolves to the 3CX systems external IP address (this is inside the office with the 3CX server). In Phones, PNP Phones it is listed there, the phone itself shows "No Service". In Users, IP Phone, the network interface is the fqdn. If I select the system IP from the drop down list then the phone registers and works. The web client and softphone are working properly, it's just the physical phone.
1 - Is it a requirement to resolve the 3CX fqdn to the system internal IP address when local/in the office with it?
2 - I was surprised to be able to select the system IP address as a network interface, I thought that was not allowed in version 20, are there any issues with changing it to use the IP address?
Please let me know. Thank you.
