When putting the Client onto the notebook of a remote user, how do I know what the local IP will be (field: Use Tunnel of host) ?
Does the user need to manually and constantly adjust the field if he is on the move ?

Can you use the loopback address (127.0.0.1)

Already tried that, does not work for me. If I enter 127.0.0.1 the client changes that to 0.0.0.0 .
Also: Entering the hostname does not work.

EDIT: Using 127.0.0.2 does seem to work.

That's very interesting. The client must be programmed to specifically ignore the default loopback address however not other "loopback" addresses in the 127.*.*.* address space. I wonder why they would program this in to the client. I'm sure there's a good reason that I'm just not aware of.

Also, 0.0.0.0 use to be the most common loopback address but is not supported by Windows.
