Hi all,

I'm on the fence between posting it here, and making an official ticket, so I decided to ask it here first.

we have our PBXs reporting on Trunk Error Responses, and I was wondering how 3CX determines what error code to use...

one messgae showed a ('mobilenumber + extra digit'@'Trunkname'), and returned a 503
Another message showed an International number, but missing one 0 (ie. Germany: 049* instead of 0049*), and returning a 404.

in both case I would personally expect a 404 (as the number is not found by Trunk/Provider).

I found https://www.3cx.com/pbx/sip-responses/, so I at least see what the codes mean.

We are starting to make automated tickets based on these messages, and would like to have a way of filtering out the "unneccesary messages"
(someone forgetting a digit when dialing doesn't require a ticket, of course)

Which provider are you using?

from your reply, I'm assuming it's the provider providing the error code?

the 404 comes from UCExperts
the 503 comes from Weepee

Generally yes, 3CX reads the error codes that the providers send.
You can see these in the Activity Log. An example would be:
Code:
Call to <sip:[email protected]:0> has failed; Cause: 503 Service Unavailable/INVITE from 2.2.2.2:5060

In this example, you can see the that the error returned was 503 and it came from IP 2.2.2.2.
