When I Enable callback on a Queue, I have two choices:
Callback mode:
1) Triggered on user request (Press 2)
2) Offered to caller after timeout in seconds

If I select "Offered to caller after timeout in seconds", the message that comes up says:
CB_REQcallback_request_number.wavYou have requested a call back to the following number

However, if you are holding on the line and the Call back triggers, you get a message saying "You have requested a call back to the following number...". But, the caller does not know anything about a Call back, and so when he/she hears "You have requested a call back to the following number...", he/she does not know what this is all about.
Instead, when the Call back triggers, is there a way to create a Prompt that says "If you want to have us call you back to the following number..."?

Or is there a way to change the CB_REQ recoding to what I want it to say?
I hope this makes sense!
Thanks!
Russ

You can change the prompt set from the Management Console >>Settings >> System Prompts >> Click on "Manage Prompt Sets" then select the current prompt set and click "Copy Prompt Set" give it a name then click "OK", search "CB_REQ" and select it.
  • Then click on the "Record By Phone" button and select a device to record your custom prompt.
  • Record your custom prompt
  • Navigate to the queue and on the bottom of the page under the "Queue Language" dropdown menu select your new custom prompt set.
  • Note that the original file name will be the same "callback_request_number" but the prompt will change to the recorded one.
  • Restart 3CX system services.

Next time a call back is requested or offered to the caller, depending on the settings, the new prompt set will be played to them.
