Hi,

Just today a customer reported a message when calling in saying "Feature not available: Pro or Enterprise licence required". Tracked this down to the fact I was using the incoming rule going to a simple queue. Now on dashboard there is no Queues option and the Event log has "[CM101004]: License Limit: Call Queues are not covered under current license " has this message.

I am on the Standard licence with 6 months to run.

Tried re-booting, restarting services etc.

Have 3CX removed this feature without telling anyone !! - Please could anyone help !

Many thanks
Kevin

Did you auto upgrade to V16?, if so its just your key that didnt upgrade (yet) talk to a 3cx rep about upgrading your key, for now you could change ring que to ring groups till the key is upgraded.

Have you tried to refresh the license - Settings -> License. Click on 'Refresh license key information'

The features it is removed on the standard edition v16. You should upgrade to the pro version to have the queue working back. If you upgrade the queue will be back again with the old configuration as well. 3cx advice in the forum that the feature will be removed so you should know it in advance.

regards.

Same problem here. Actually, I was under the impression that existing customers would not lose any features, based on forum posts by 3CX during the ALPHA release of v16.

This is very disappointing. Now we are in a very bad position with our customers if this is true.
Commercial Users won't lose features. If they paid a Std version, it will be upgraded to Pro.

However, the Free edition is free. They can change licensing whenever they want. Sometimes you have to change things up to keep the software profitable.

When? How much down time do your reckon our customers will endure until it is upgraded?

It is supposed to be automatic and done when upgrading the instance to v16. If not, I suggest you open a ticket with them and check why your license wasn't upgraded.

Did you do a license refresh?

Yes, I have done a license refresh. The initial response from 3CX on my support ticket was that the feature is no longer available in v16 Standard. Support made no mention that the license should have been upgraded, but I am asking that question now. Can anyone confirm that they have seen a Standard edition license that was automatically upgraded to Pro in this situation?
I will update this thread when I get some more info from 3CX support.

If you log in to your partner portal and check the key does it say "convert to commercial" next to it?

I've posted separately about call queues, having the same issue. I can do without call queues as long as I can change them to ring groups, however, as I can no longer administer call queues, I can't release the original extension numbers in order to create them as ring groups. Any ideas how I can remove a legacy call queue/extension?? There is no licence option available to me; I can the current licence on the dashboard, but the licence option is not available through settings (this is a 12 months free trial on Google Cloud using PBX Express).

Are you able to browse to

https://<FQDN>:5001/#/app/queues

?

No, connection refused. I think the free trial on Google Cloud is restricted.

Tried again without using the specific port and it does allow me to go to the call queues page, although there is a warning that this feature is for Pro/Ent only, and the call queues page is blank.

Can you not just make your HG on different EXT to get around this?

No, there is no "Convert to Commercial" in the license pane. I did hear back from 3CX support. Apparently this license was issued as a Free Standard Edition, so that explains the behavior. I didn't realize there even was a Free 16SC Standard license, so it threw me off. We are converting this customer to 8SC Pro. Thanks everyone for the responses.

Yes I could work around it by doing that, but I do like a tidy system rather than leaving legacy rubbish in the config. Also it means internal users having to use different extension numbers. None of that is difficult, but it should not be necessary.

Wait a minute...let me see if I can understand this because its starting to sound completely ridiculous. 3CX released an update that changes the features available on the license you have and breaks all incoming calls if you route them to queues, and the solution is..........pay more money?

If you have a free Standard version, yes you have less features: because it's free.

Paid Standard customers will be upgraded to Pro for 1 year to give them time to plan the renew of Pro.

People need to understand how a free software works. If you need more features, yes you will have to pay. If not, be happy with the fact that there IS a free version and it's now 8SC instead of 4.
