I am looking for a way to add a series of randomized on-hold message to MOH or queue music.

Basically just like the announcement will come in over the music, but randomized from a group of WAV files. Little 2-3 second blurbs like:

We are the best company.
Did you know we are the leader in our industry.
You should really be doing business with us.

I would like these for on-hold and queues alike. I am sure I am not the first to want to do this. The random aspect is to keep people from hearing the exact same thing every time.

Create the WAV file with those already in it and set it where you want it.

I have not tried this, but it may be possible to barge into the call on hold, play a message, then drop the barge. We do this with active calls. I am not sure if a call "on hold" is technically an active call.

There is no built-in method to allow you to do this but, if it's only for a Call Queue, ou could possibly try the following config:

1. Create a playlist with all the .wav files in "Settings >> MOH >> Playlists" and enable "shuffle".
2. In the Call Queue settings, set this playlist as the main music on hold.
3. Set the actual music on hold as the Intro prompt. (You cannot set a playlist here hence the unorthodox config)
4. Make sure the "Play full intro prompt before calling agents" is not selected.

Things to consider:

• By default, when an "intro prompt" is configured, the queue's main music on hold get's it's volume lowered until the intro prompt finishes. That said, you might want to play around with your sound file volume levels to get the desired results.

• You might want to consider adding silence before or after every individual .wav file so they do not play back to back.

• Since you'll be using the "Intro prompt" to play the queue's main music, it will not automatically loop when it finishes. That said, you'll probably need to make sure it's duration is longer than the Queue's Master timeout to avoid it stopping midcall.
