Raspberry Pi as mobile demo system?

FYI, 3CX doesn't "provide" their own image, only a link to the Raspbian image directly. They support only Stretch tho, not Buster.

Agree, I mean the version provided by 3CX in their tutorial :p

@INDY_Mathieu yeah running 3cx SBC on Pi 4 with raspbian OS. No issues so far

I haven't tried yet but good to now !

I want to set up a Pi3 (just found out that the 4 won't work :() as a demo system to show potential clients/users. Am I going to run into problems if I use standard setup? The system needs to be connected to prospect's LAN. I accept that without firewall messing it won't allow incoming calls, but outgoing should be fine? Will the cert re-configure itself? Bit confused!
Thanks

Hi,

Please note that the certificate will not be a problem at all, it doesn't care what IP you use, the certificate is only for the FQDN (i.e mypbx.3cx.com)

The IP can be set to Dynamic in the management console, so even if it changes it should still work fine for making calls. I don't know if your 4G provider will be a problem (depending on their NAT) but you can just try it and see how well it works and if the FQDN will resolve after you give it enough time to update (Enterprise recommended in this case to make it happen faster).

power off it correctly with the console will maybe reduce this kind of problem ?
I'm sure it will - but given the suggested usage, I'm not sure that logging in to the console to issue a 'shutdown now' command is all that convenient.

@Mark Phillips Just a Putty on the Pi isn't that much ;) Less than a corrupted SD imo
