Hello everybody.

The official 3cx documentation https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/
says that the 3CX SBC is tested on the latest Raspberry Pi and can be used with up to 20 phones and a maximum of 10 BLF keys per device.

Is the 10 BLF per device is a fix limitation?
May i have +50BLF if i use only 1 phone?

Our receptionist need a lot of BLF.

thank you.

Hello @Pascal Lenier

Please note that you can have more than 10 BLF keys per phone as long as the total number of BLF keys does not exceed the mentioned limit. The amount of traffic to the PBX and back is the same. Just make sure that the phone can handle all the BLF keys.

Thank you for your answers,
Ok. So technically, a raspberry can handle 20*100=200 BLF, no matter how many phones connected?

That is a great news.
As you say, now we need to find a phone that can handle a lot of BLF!

If the receptionist needs a lot of BLF keys to easily transfer calls or monitor the status of the extensions you could also use the web client.

Interessting.

In the case of a webclient, there is no SBC needed, and unlimited BLF?

hi Pascal,

yes with Web Client, no need for local SBC or any client install- just need web browser that supports WebRTC (most customers use Chrome pretty seamlessly) if using this method. Also you can just click to call anyone in company directory.
