Reasign a provisioned phone to other extension

I have a phone (Fanvil X6U) that is assigned to 020 extension and needs to be reassigned to 120. I only see in 3cx phone/user settings under "provisioning" that i can select the phone and then click on "delete" button.

Would this lead to the phone being separated from its old extension 020 so i can reassign it to other number?

It would be good to document this reassigning activity in the manual page of 3cx.

You can not change the extension number of a already assigned phone

Before deleting the ext in 3CX, i would make a note of the 'Phone Web Page Password' just in case

Factory default the phone
Delete the extension in 3CX
Reassign the phone to the next extension.

There really is no need for additional documentation, just delete it from EXT 020 under its provisioning tab and press OK to save.
