Record trunk in mp3 ** SOLVED

i want record all comunication of a trunk in mp3.
can i do this?

Hi, you are NOT able to do this via 3CX, however you can use a softpohne such as X-Lite which you might be able to in MP3

i want record all conversation of a trunk for legal;
for my call center i must record all ,but from administrator , not from users

The 3CXPhonesystem can record all calls from and to all extensions. That includes calls coming in from Trunks and out from trunks.
All calls are recorded in WAV format.

Extension settings. "Other" Tab.

Jodix Free WMA to MP3 Converter is easily used to batch convert the wave files to MP3 if you can get your leagel team to certify the orgionality to the resultant conversion. I have a perl script to pull all the recordings, reformat the file name and then conver them and send them to archival storage. Be wary that there are some characters in the file names that do not pass the dos copy command for copying the file and must be converted which means I save both the WMA and MP3 until the leagel beagles make a decision or write policy for retention.
