We record most calls and have to keep them for a very long time (years). I have a daily archive setup and it is working well with the exception that on occasion some recordings are "missed" and not archived. Meaning even thought archiving runs every night I have about 1GB of recordings that never get archived. Is there a way to check the integrity of the files in the recordings folder vs what the system thinks is already archived? Is there a way to trigger the system to archive the missed recordings?

So, in order to figure it out, first of make sure you're on the latest update as some issues with archiving were fixed.

Now, what you'll want is to put the system into Verbose (Dashboard > Activity Log > Settings), then go to the Recordings page, click the little book icon to order by archival status. If you click it once or twice and see some recordings without the icon, simply select them with the checkbox and click "Archive" in the toolbar.

Then, if they don't get the icon after that, you should get an error message (bottom right). From there, you go to Activity Log > Logs > Instance and download the 3CXManagementConsole.log file, and check it for errors (you can probably Ctrl+F "record".)

thank you for your suggestion. I followed what you recommended above but I did not get any error messages and also the log file does not have any errors. Yet the recording I selected for archiving is still there unarchived.

Also, what I just notices is the wav file in the directory do not actually have entries in the Recordings. I checked 4 so far and none are even listed.

Hmm. That's kinda weird AF. DM me please.

You could try re-indexing the local recordings. Give the following a shot:

Note: Make sure you do not perform the below task near the time Archiving is scheduled to run or disable it completely.

1. As a precautionary measure take full backup and move it away from the machine.
2. Manually archive all recordings if any.
3. Go to "Settings >> Parameters" and create the following parameter: "RECS_SYNC_REQUIRED" set it's value to "1".
4. Apply and go to "Dashboard", you should see an option that reads "Convert Recordings" in read.
5. Click on it and it should re-index all recordings in the local directory so they should then show up in the Management Console's "Recordings" section.

Do bear in mind that this is a CPU intensive process so you might want to perform this during a time when the PBX is not in use.
