Hi,
Does anyone know if an unregistered extension will record calls that are routed through it - I'm thinking not but here is the issue.
Call comes into a DID which then passes call to a ring group and another extension then picks up call. What we've found that midway through the actual call the recording starts and the first part of the call is missed. So for a 5 minute call you only hear the last 2-3 minutes which is stored under the extension that picked up the actual call.
The DID has an actual extension which was initially setup with a phone but then was changed to pass all calls to ring group. I suspect that after the call is established the 3CX software switches the call to the picked up extension and the recording starts. The first part of the call is under the initial DID which is unregistered and thus doesn't get recorded?
Thanks
Gary Davis
