Hi there,

At the beginning of the year, we upgraded our 3CX to v18 and migrated it to Debian 10. Since then, the remote archiving of recordings stopped working because the previous SFTP was no longer available.
A few days ago, I configured a new SFTP. If I archive a recording manually - it works, but the auto archiving is not happening. 8k recordings are waiting to be archived, and none of them (new or old) is pushed to the SFTP.

What could be the root reason? Where are the relevant logs?

In my experience with remote archiving recordings, if you manually select too many pages at a time to archive, it will get stuck until you restart the 3CX services/system. We tend to just let the "Archive Schedule Policy" do the work.

We schedule the Archive Schedule Policy for night. From what I have observed, if the auto archiving process does not finish before the phone system detects usage (or maybe just morning?) it will pause and start again the next night where it left off after archiving the newest accumulated recordings for the current day. Eventually all 8k recordings should get archived.

Do you think you are rate-limited by the SFTP Server? Can you try FTP?

Another idea, do you know these 8k recordings exist or is it just metadata from before the V18-Debian 10 migration? One way to test would be to download an old recording through the MGMT Console.

Maybe a 3CX engineer can speak to the archiving status logs, but I typically just look at the access logs on our SFTP servers.

I hope this helps!
