Solved Recover admin user/password in 3CX Hosted In Our Private Cloud

Hello 3CX Family,

I have forgotten our 3CX admin username and password. I tried to login more than 3 times and got the forgot password option but after I have clicked on it I don't receive an email. Please assist me regarding this issue. Our 3CX is running on windows.

Extract one of your backups and open the XML file in the root folder.

Do a search for

 <Description>The admin ID</Description>

and

<Description>The admin pass</Description>

Then after you realise the admin details can be taken from your backup, make sure you encrypt them going forward.

Thanks for the quick response, we haven't ran any backups yet. We were using the server for POC purposes. With only two phones registered. Or does it do autobackups?

In that case then you've not got much option. Unless you raise a support ticket with 3CX to see if they can recover. Otherwise, it's a reinstall.
