Just started using 3CX so may have got the configuration wrong. Basically we can make and receive calls but if a user misses a call from an external number and tries to redial it comes up as failed.

In the outbound rules I have prepend 44 so that only calls to UK can be made.
I found that the number is listed in call history as 44XXXXXXXXX (44 being the country code). When the user hits redial the system tries to dial out but adds another 44 to the beginning so the number ends up as 4444XXXXXXXX

Have I misconfigured something somewhere?

You can block countries using settings-security-allowed country codes. If you only allow the UK in there then there is no need for the prepend 44.

As above, configure allowed country codes - Settings - Security Settings - Allowed Country Codes.

Then configure your outbound rules to format the outgoing number correctly

Thank you. In Security>Allowed Country Codes I have Europe ticked and under that United Kingdom. Nothing else is ticked. So I have now removed the prepend 44 but now when i redial I get "Not Acceptable here!"

You need to work out what format of number your telecom provider is expecting and using outbound rules configure outgoing numbers correctly.

Temporary setup outbound rules, and do some testing to see what number format is required - when you know this you can adjust your outbound rule. Note : One of 'Apply this rule to these calls' has to be configured.

Look in activity logs, to see what number is being presented to your telecom provider

Also now if I dial out (not redial) I get "temporarily unavailable" In the Event Log I see "484 Address incomplete"

In the event log if I dial my mobile the leading 0 is missing

In the event log if I dial my mobile the leading 0 is missing

Create an outbound rule to prefix the 0

You may need more than one outbound rule to allow outbound dialling - all depends on what numbers are being passed to the outbound rules - rules are processed from the top down

Thanks. All working now. For some reason I had strip 1 digit in the rule and because I remote onto the 3CX VM I couldnt see what was in the strip digits box.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved. As an additional note to this, if your provider is sending the number in the 44xxxxxx format but it does not accept this format when dialling out you could use caller ID reformatting on the trunk to convert the number to 0xxxxx format before reaching the phones. https://www.3cx.com/docs/cid-reformatting/
