I have a problem reformatting numbers.

In my mobile phone there are a lot of local/ national numbers stored. (I'm based in the Netherlands)
For example: 0222317590
When I dial it from the 3CX app on my phone, there number is dialed as entered/ stored in my contact.
For my outgoing Sip trunk it needs to be in E164 format without the leading + sign . So it has to look like this: 31222317590

Now I'm trying to reformat the outgoing number as following. (see also screenshot)
Source pattern: (0)(.*) Replace pattern: 31\2

I also have an other reformat rule which removes the "+" from existing numbers in my phone.
This rule works fine!

But what ever I do and try, the "local/ national" reformatting rule does not work. The number is not being reformatted by 3CX?!

What do I need to do to make this work?
The reason for this rule is, that I don't want to change all the numbers in my phone and in the phones of my employees.

You seem to be confusing the re-formatting of caller ID and the format of the numbers you are dialing

The numbers you are dialing, or have stored in your phone, can be dealt with using E164 (if you want, and have numbers beginning with +), and the outbound rules.

If you are attempting to reformat incoming or outgoing caller ID , then you use the tools that you posted.

In the example you posted, dialing 0222317590. You could have an an outbound rule for numbers beginning with zero, 10 digits in length...remove the zero, and prepend 31, before sending to your provider. So 31222317590 would be sent.

You may have to have additional rules to deal with numbers of a different length, or in a different format. If some stored numbers have a leading +, then you may want to use the E164 settings. It all depends on what works best in your situation.
