Regarding V20 split DNS

according to this article if my phones connected to the 3CX PBX via the IP address in V20 it will not work or is it just for the webclient?
This is a huge issue if so

Why is this a problem, split dns is since a while the preferred installation form.

it is a problem since we have over 700 PBX to manage and the phones connected via the ip and not the FQDN

Yeah... thats bad. There will come a lot of work to do for you. I haven`t any phone connected like this. Allways split dns.

Hey Soli, Split DNS is a must for a better 3CX experience and increased security. As it will ensure, consistent access to the web client while safeguarding sensitive internal network information!

If you have an existing install with IP Phones, and you convert to split DNS, you have to run our conversion function to update your system to use an FQDN system-wide and not a local IP on the local LAN. We are readying an update to allow you to make this conversion once you have configured your split DNS. We expect to deliver this update in October and it will include a number of checks and conversions in order to prepare for version 20.

We use Vultr already for the 3cx installs and a SBC. I do not believe we are using anything local. Maybe someone on here has a similar setup? All the webclients use the FQDN already to log in and the IP phones do have local IPs but maybe they are already set properly?

You don't need to do anything if your 3CX system is remote to your IP phones and apps. The Split DNS requirement only refers to when you have the 3CX system installed on the same local LAN as the endpoints.
