Register SIP-phone

I'm trying to register A SIP phone to the 3CX server but that failed, because it has try'd a couple of times I get the Message An IP is blacklisted and cannot even login in any account. Can you see and help me what is going wrong with registering the sip phone and disable the blacklisted IP's?

Hello danny.engeringh,

For the Blacklist, you need to wait at least 24 hours, than try it once.

For the settings,
please check the SIP protocol, set this to UDP
Change the Username to the "Auth ID" found under phone of user.
Check the register, to enable register always.




However, not sure if this will work without any SBC local on site.
It could result in more blacklist time.

Are you planning to use an SBC ?

Hi,

We recommend that you install a 3CX SBC at the remote location, and use that to connect your phone(s) through. https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/

If for some reason that's not possible, you will need to permit direct SIP registration for the user, Edit the user, go to Options and remove the Block for remote connections.

In both cases, keep the phone completely offline/off until the 24 hour ban expires, to avoid it being retriggered if the phone attempts to connect and fails again.

Are you planning to use an SBC ?

Yes maybe in the future, thats why we testing it first.

If you are using the same internet connection as the phone which triggered the blacklist, yes. You can login using a different connection in the meantime.

I'm still not able to register and my Ip is blacklisted again, is there a way to add a ip to a whitelist? Where can I find the Auth-ID as paolo sugested for the Username?

No, there is a reason why you got blacklisted. What kind of sip client are you trying to register? The auth id you will get when you provision a generic phone on the user.

Than you need an sbc to register this device or deactivate "blocking remote non tunnel connections".

Goto the user 27711,

The tab "Options"
un-select the option "Block remote non-tunnel connections (Insecure!)"

The tab "IP Phone".
If you do not have configured an IP Phone yet, then klik om the blue button "Configure a Phone", or add Phone.
Check the "I will configure the phone myself", go "next", go "add phone".
Here you will have all the details you need to setup the Phone/Intercom.


Do not forget to save the user!

Please, please, please check everything!, you will get another blacklist for sure, if you just have one mistake!
The more wrong trials, the longer the blacklist, 1 day, 2 days, 1 week .......

Please note that you are aiming for the most dificult option, the SBC option is far better and easy and SECURE!
