Reinstall 3cx on Windows

Morning all,

We are currently using a Debian v18 3CX installation. I am unable to get the auditor's permission to create an ECP/EWS endpoint on our Exchange infrastructure so, in order to enable contact syncing, I am considering rebuilding the 3CX installation on Windows. The NUC running 3CX is an i5 with 8GB - totally up to the job but I must admit to being sceptical - I *like* having the Debian installation - running the phone system on a bloaty Windows box feels all wrong. Any comments to reassure (or warn away) would be welcome...

From our side, all I can tell you is that if your machine meets the hardware requirements, it should be good enough to pass muster. However I feel your pain, Debian is lovely

The maintenance , and security updates on a windows machine - not fun when you compare it with Debian machine

We are slowing moving from windows to debian for the extract reasons above.

Why does the auditor feels windows is more secure than the debian 10

Any way it's 3CX doing the syncing and not the operating system

I didn't say or suggest they did!

Because in order to sync contacts with Microsoft Exchange you have to create a secondary EWS site in IIS with basic authentication enabled (or use 3CX on Windows)
