We have remote employees who are in Remote Desktop all day. We tried using the Windows Client on the remote session (using headset) but the connection wasn't great (dropped calls, or call dropping in and out). So now I installed the Windows client on their computer (not remote session) to see if that works better. I have the client set up to focus on a new call which will bring the program on top of the remote session. However, when the employee then has to work, the client is hidden. Is there a way to have the client always on top? Or is there a different setup I should be using with the remote employees? Thanks in advance!

Maybe a second screen to use the local softwares? Then the RDP on the main screen.

By the way, you should be able to use the Webclient via RDP. Audio can get back and forth using Remote FX, just enable the sounds and recording from the RDP session settings.

Thanks for the response! The employees have three monitors and I'm not sure of a way to only have the remote session on two of the three (the option appears to be all or one).

I can have them try the Webclient on the remote session; my hesitation/thought was that it would be the same call quality as using the Windows 3cx client (calls dropping in and out).

It shouldn't unless your Internet connection (or VPN) is slow. RDP is light on the network and I just used this feature to run a Zoom meeting remotely. Audio was excellent.

What is the setup for the RDP? Are you using RD Sessions Role on WinServer?

As for the 2/3 monitors, nope I don't think there's a way to precise. It's all or one like you said.

How about using the windows client locally and the webclient on the RDS server in CTI mode?

The remote employees don't actually have a physical desk phone. So I don't think CTI mode would be an option? But I assume we could use webclient on the RDS server with a headset?

The webclient can control a windows softphone.
