Remote Extension Calls drop at 30 seconds - Netgear router setting fixed for me (SOLVED)

The credit for this fix goes to @pcmarc in the thread at https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/remote-extension-drops-after-32-seconds.37396/ ,

The issue is that calls initialed by the remote extension were getting dropped after 30 seconds. This is due to "ACK not received", as discussed in other threads. The reason for it not being received is because of a "feature" that netgear enables by default that blocks that needed response.

Here is what to change on the netgear router:
Advanced>Setup>WAN Setup\ and under "NAT Filtering" I checked "Disable SIP ALG".

I would have added the screen shot to the other thread, but it was locked due to the age. And now the info is in two places, so hopefully people won't have to search as long as I did to find the solution!! We are using a Yealink SIP-T46S as the remote extension in this case, provisioned as a direct sip (stun) remote extension.netgear_fix.PNG
