Thank you for all your hard work and for continually improving the 3CX system!

I’m seeing the following message on every system:
“Remote storage is partially configured. It is required to keep your system performant and easily updatable. Set up remote storage.”

I already have FTP server settings in place, and backups are being created successfully. Could you please clarify what this message means and what specific settings I should check?

Feedback: The message currently appears in red, which usually indicates a critical issue that needs immediate attention. Since this doesn’t seem to affect any core functionality, would it be possible to change the color to something less alarming, as it’s more of a warning than an urgent problem?

Thank you for your help!

The banner goes away once all locations have been specified for archive.

The red banner grabs your attention - on this the flip side of this, if it was DR and you didnt have any archived data youd say "why didnt you make it clear enough?!?"

@Alphabetic Thank you. So, just to clarify—do I need to configure all the remaining location types (Google Storage, SMB, SFTP, SharePoint, and AWS S3 Bucket) for the warning to disappear? Is there a workaround to disable this specific type of warning?

Also, a yellow or orange banner usually draws attention without suggesting a critical issue. In my opinion, this approach has long been an unwritten standard in other software solutions.

Hello @Alex100225

As @Alphabetic mentioned, the only way for the red banner to go away currently is to have all the options selected for remote archiving. Not the remaining location types.

Ignoring the red banner will not cause any issue with machines.
It is recommended to have a remote location for the backups and files in order for the PBX not to have any disk space issues, and also have a backup that can be retrieved from a remote location
in case you need to restore the system.

Well a nicer way could have been to let pbx owner's chose what they need to do instead of being forced to select all folders just to remove a "warning banner" which isn't such a need in most of the cases.
