How do I unblack list a known good IP Address from the 3CX Startup Console? I know the option exists in the fuller admin console.

Regarding your question, there are no options to whitelist IP addresses within the 3cx start-up version, but also there should be no reason to require this. Have you blacklisted your IP address or an address you are trying to access the system from?

I have a 3cx start-up and the IP address is blacklisted, how can I remove the blacklisting?

You will need to wait for the blacklisting to expire or raise a ticket with our support department to check.

Hi, Yiannis. I am in the same situation. Is there an expected wait time for that to be removed?

There is but for security reasons I cannot share the exact timeout.

I understand. I am evaluating this solution for a business. Is there criteria I need to be aware of that could have been prevented, or is that reserved for the higher level services?

It can trigger when logging in with incorrect credentials, in a web browser or phone. Pro and Enterprise licenses have a customizable list which allows adding IPs as Allow entries, or removing IPs in the list. StartUP doesn't have that management console/portal because of how it's designed.

My credentials were saved in the browser, so there were no incorrect login attempts. Sounds like a 'gotcha'. $75 to open a support ticket. Figured it was too good to be true to evaluate the solution. Guess it's on to the next.

That just means that someone (or something) from the same public IP tried to login with invalid credentials. Also did you try login in to the webclient or management console by accident?

It appears the problem started when I initially signed up at work, then logged in at home. Credentials were correct, but the IP was different, so it must not have liked that. When I went back to work, I could log in fine.

However, I changed my mobile phone number in the system (adding the 1 since I cannot 10-digit dial on the startup version), then it logged me out and said that my credentials were no longer valid. No clue how they would have changed, but I have enabled an IP block due to invalid credentials at this point. No clue how to get things rectified since I did not change my login number or password.

The IP being different won't matter, just invalid credentials*

After so many invalid login attempts you get added to the 3CX block list. And in some secret formula, get added to enough block lists and you end up on the global blocklist. In StartUP, you have no control over this - but in dedicated you can choose to not use the global blocklist if you so desire.

*Except in cases where your IP is on the 3CX global blocklist, which isn't publicly available / checkable.

I have sent you a p.m. for some more details so we can look into this.

It must be on the global list, then. The credentials are stored in the browser. I can login from work, but the same credentials (not being retyped) give me the blocked error.

In which case maybe @YiannisH_3CX can confirm the IP is on the block list and help you get it unblocked. Or your 3CX partner may be able to submit a case for you at no additional cost.

The blacklist was caused by a phone behind the same public IP trying to register.

The assistance is very much appreciated.

To unblacklist a known good IP address from the 3CX Startup Console, you can follow these steps:
  1. Open the 3CX Management Console by opening a web browser and navigating to the IP address or hostname of your 3CX server followed by /management, e.g. http://<server-ip>/management.
  2. Log in to the 3CX Management Console using your admin credentials.
  3. Click on the "Security" tab in the left-hand menu.
  4. Click on the "Firewall" sub-tab.
  5. Under the "Blacklist" section, you should see a list of IP addresses that have been blacklisted.
  6. Find the IP address that you want to unblacklist and click on the "Remove" button next to it.
  7. Click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to apply the changes.
Once you have completed these steps, the previously blacklisted IP address should now be able to access the 3CX server again.
You cannot login to the management console of a startup environment. I'm not sure where you copied these very old instructions from (they look like v14 instructions or older since that was the last time the URL was /management), but they are not valid here.

Yeah, I looked at the posters other 2 posts and went
