What is the firmware version of the Fanvil phone? Please ensure that the firmware is the one listened on this page:https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/

Also, you may access your 3CX StartUP admins Webclient from a different public IP, and ensure that the IP phone is removed from the extension before you update the firmware, then wait 24 hours for the backlist to expire before re-adding it.

thanks for the reply, I've way more experience with the full product. this is the 1st I've tried startup just for this demo. yes the fanvil firmware right out the box was below recommended. what a pain, I'd already removed the phone from the user and I'll update firmware on both phones I'm going to use for the test then hopefully they'll work out at the clients. thanks for the info. did it really need to be 24hrs, jeez lol.

I am afraid so, otherwise, you can open a support ticket through your customer portal (portal.3cx.com), so that we can verify who you are and release the IP address from the blacklist for you.

I've encountered the same issue with a Yealink T53 that was on firmware 96.86.0.70 and has now caused 3CX StartUP to block my public IP address when trying to provision it. I've update to 96.86.0.74, but it appears I have to pay for a support ticket to get my IP removed from the blacklist, not ideal...

Or wait 24 hours for it to expire automatically.

I tried to just change the owner's email to his email after setting it up and he tried to login and it blacklisted him because he was at another location. So this will resolve after 24 hours without firmware upgrade etc? Please let us manually remove blocked IPs.

So every time i add new phone in sys as ex# 3cx bluck ip address ?

Well I tried to use the Forgot password as my IP was blocked yesterday. I come in today and it is still blocked. Not a great way to capture new business.! What I have configured is still working but my testing was in the infant stage. There is no way I could recommend this product without further testing and vetting of functionality. So much for a free demo environment. If I can't unlock my IP then your product has no chance in my companies environment.

For SMB you should be able to open a ticket and have support do it. SMB doesn’t have access to several areas of back end management. A Pro license does.

Can you please let us know what a Digium D40 1_4_2_0_63880 is and why you are trying to connect it to your extension?

Please do not try to connect any unsupported devices to SMB, as this will likely cause issues when trying to register directly and not behind an SBC or route phone. Only use supported devices and connect them via a 3CX SBC or use a supported router phone using supported default templates.

It is just a basic IP phone.

I did manage to get back in by switching to another fibre line out.

@twoffenden
perfect, and thank you for the feedback.

This happens to us every time we setup a new system and try to autoprovision a new Yealink handset as a router phone. If the handset isn't on the latest version of firmware it connects and auto provisions then somehow 3CX things the handset has used invalid credentials to log in and blacklists the IP. You then need to manually update the firmware on the handset before it will reconnect.

This is an easy fix on a dedicated system but when its a free hosted by PBX system it's a pain to get the blacklisting removed.

I know this is easy to avoid from our end by upgrading the phone firmware first but surely there is a way 3CX could force the firmware update before the phone provisions?
