Back in November, I was running a 3CX server, and registered my Yealink T19P E2.
I no longer have the server, and I factory reset the phone and disabled auto provisioning, but on every boot, it says:

"Config updating!"
"Redirector - Update skipped!"

Yealink support says there's nothing I can do but contact 3CX. How do I get my phone removed from this platform?

Is the phone auto-provisioning/getting settings? That message is normal to display as the phone checks in with RPS and sees if anything is waiting.

3CX expires anything in RPS after 2 weeks automatically.

These messages are not changing any settings, but they add ~ 30 seconds to the boot process.

I don't have a second phone to compare against, but I'm pretty sure these messages did not occur before I registered the phone in 3CX. It's been well over 2 weeks since I last used 3CX.

I'm almost certain these messages and the check are stock and nothing to do with 3CX. I have a brand new never unboxed T42S sitting in front of me I powered up and saw the same "Redirector - Update skipped!" on-screen.

Hi!

What @SweetAction said, all Yealink phones check with their RPS first before booting. If 3CX had an entry for this device in the Yealink RPS, odds are you would be prompted for a Username/Password.

Yealink helped me remove the prompts, by uploading this *.cfg file:

Code:
#!version:1.0.0.1

redirect.enable = 0

Maybe I just didn't notice the prompts when I bought this phone, or perhaps they were introduced by a later firmware update? They're gone now, in any case.

That's awesome to know, thank you for posting that.

How often are you rebooting the phone that this becomes a problem?

The time you've spent to figure this out and apply the config doesnt outweight the 10 seconds wait on boot up IMO.

wait until you factory reset and have to do it again.

Did you try taking the firmware directly from Yealink's website so it wasnt on 3CX specific firmware?

This is perfectly normal, they do this out of the box - it is entirely unrelated to 3CX.

After 2 weeks that RPS entry would have expired anyway in case you were wondering.
