Solved Replacing Debian SBC with Router phone

Hi, we want to decommision our server so I need to replace our Debian SBC with a Fanvil router phone.

What is the best way of doing this?

During the initial setup the phone wants to use the existing SBC, shall I select that?

Hi Cam,

I would first direct you to read through our IP Phones Configuration Manual. A router phone can also function as a normal phone. The following Fanvil models can be configured as router phones:
Fanvil V64, V65, V62, X4U-V2, X5U-V2, X6U-V2, X7-V2, X7C-V2, X210-V2 and X210i-V2

Once you are ready to set up the phone as an SBC, you should not connect with the existing SBC, you will instead need to select "Connect Directly." Then you can provision up to 10 additional phones behind this Router phone.

Thanks Greg, we have a X4U V2 and have successfully provisioned it but we keep getting the error 'SIP register failed"

We have tried factory resetting the phone but it still has this error.

We did assign it to a user who already had an IP phone but we remved it, if that helps?

Please ensure that your phone is on the proper firmware before provisioning it.
