Repoint 3CX FQDN

Hi,

A clients onsite 3CX server broke - we installed 3CX on a PC here, restored their backup and were able to get them up and running - we've now been to site and fixed the server problem - we would now like to repoint the 3CX FQDN back to the client site,
Is this possible without a full re-install on the client server?

When the clients server comes back online it will contact the activation server to reassign the FQDN to its IP Address.

This however might take from 5 mins to 6 hours to replicate to the DNS servers being used around the world, so anyone who has accessed this site within the past few hours will probably have some delay in reestablishing comms with that site, due to the DNS propagation delay.

To update the IP on the FQDN all you need to do is stop the services on the old one and restart them on the new one.

In addition to the previous, after you restart your services, you may check with Google DNS to which IP your FQDN resolves to,
check here: https://dns.google/

Thanks Nicholas - I 'suspected' this would happen but wasn't 100%
i'll get the repaired server powered up this evening and let the DNS replication happen overnight.
