Test lab using the Enterprise demo license - V16.0.6.641
I was able to reproduce this bug.

Go to extension.
Add an extension.
Enter a dummy name.
Go to VoiceMail tab.
Add a greeting. Popup box to select a file will be displayed.
Select a WAV file, then validate.

=> Error message saying that you need to save the extension first
=> Click on OK at the top to save the extension

Extension is saved, but not displayed.
I can see it in the database. I can call it. It just doesn't show up on the ADMIN Extension dashboard.

-----

I also noticed that if I change the name in the user, the main extension list does not show the new first name.

Hi @saint_

I replicated your exact steps, but it appeared.

Is there something I missed?

I've been having this happen across several PBXs. I get calls that phones are unregistered, I do a search and it shows no phone, then I try to re-add the extension, get the "duplicate extension" error, and then I go back and the extension is there.

This last update has been nothing but problems and bugs. I have entire sites BLFs turn to speed dials and a bunch of other random things happen. Usually the updates are fine, this was the worst I've seen so far.

Since you are Gold, how has been the support for you when you raise such issues on site?
We are new with 3CX. Big customer base on other systems, and I'd love to push this one, but so afraid it's not going to match customer expectations. To some customers (life finance), if one thing break like that and is not fixed within a reasonable amount of time, then the system is out and back to the previous brand... Pretty risky.

We have a lot of 3CX installs out in the wild. And support has been overall great for us. We don't push much to them because we have a large talent pool of network, voip, and telco engineers. Most of the problems you run into you can identify using tools like WireShark. I think we've put in 4 tickets in two years. It has been rare that we run into issues caused by updates. 3CX support is only as good as the data you can give them such as logs, pcaps, and reproducible issues. I find when they have the data they narrow it down pretty quick. Our team is required to attend the Tampa trainings that 3CX does and they do a really good job of showing diagnostics. If you haven't done that, I highly recommend that you and some people from you team do. We have been happy with 3CX.

Hi - We have been doing telecom for the past 20 years while doing data on the side, so VoIP was a breeze. Including playing with MOS scores, SIP Headers, SBC, Wireshark, etc.. But those issues are more related to the system database itself. I found a way to get into it -I won't change anything- and it's not something we can fix.. But good to hear that you had good experience. I might go back to my boss and see if we can push it now that we have been playing with it for a year.. Thanks!
