I guess this is really and either/or

req details: people allow voicemails (or everything....) to have an auto archive period longer than 30 days. We have users that leave voicemails much longer and then complain when they are lost to archiving. The audible voicemail system doesn't see archived voicemails so they are as good as deleted.

I would love to see an option that the auto-archive period be extended to any number.

and alternative would be to let the voicemail system see inside the archive and still playback from the archive.

part2 request, allow for archived voicemails etc to be restored to the 3cx system. I can't find a way to do this, even copying the files back into the filesystem doesn't work.

*yes, we still have a lot of people (often older folks) that insist on audible voicemail and not emailed/transcribed.

Hi @wispy
The 30-day maximum applies only when voicemail archiving is enabled. Archived voicemail files remain accessible through the PBX, provided they were archived by the PBX and the archive directory and files have not been moved or modified.

Alternatively, you can disable voicemail archiving and keep voicemails locally on the PBX. You can then configure automatic deletion after your preferred number of days. This retention setting is not limited to 30 days, allowing users to retain voicemails for longer and access them through the voicemail menu.

true, but
"Remote storage is partially configured. It is required to keep your system performant and easily updatable."

would love to get rid of that nag. also, would love to archive the old stuff not just delete it.

"Archived voicemail files remain accessible through the PBX"
The web UI yes, but not the audible voicemail system.

Hi @wispy
You can ignore the banner; it is a reminder that not all archiving options are configured.

Currently, you have two options:
Enable archiving: Voicemails are archived after a maximum of 30 days.
Disable voicemail archiving: Keep voicemails locally on the PBX and configure your preferred automatic deletion period, which is not limited to 30 days. They remain accessible through the dial-in voicemail system until deleted.

I'd rather not ignore warning banners. I would argue that having persistent warnings makes for a 'comfort' with warnings that should be discouraged as it may cause you to miss warnings you should be handling.

3cx doesn't have an 'acknowledge' system for such warnings, adding that would be great but that's a separate request.
