Hi,
I would like to request the option on the BLF Custom Speed Dial to be able to select a specific outgoing line.

I have a provider that will not allow calls from a Trunk.
I have provisioned a line on the x6u and would like to be able to setup speed dial positions for several numbers.

Provided that it will always be the same numbers being dialed and that its only a few, you could simply create some Outbound Rules with a prefix requirement (e.g 888) and then have the numbers to be dialed along with the prefix set to these Custom Speed Dial BLFs(e.g 888123456789).

That way, you'll be able to control which Outbound Rule is matched for these calls and therefore specify which SIP Trunk will be used accordingly.

The problem is that I have a provider that will not allow calls from a Trunk.
I need to be able to make a call from XXXX@SIP10, which is programmed in the phone.
Since the auto-provision overwrites the BLF I can't have a speed dial for the numbers that go out over that line.

Provided that you are referring to Direct SIP, which will allow you to send the call directly, without having to go through the SIP Trunk, all you should be required to do is create a Custom Speed dial BLF in the Management Console for that extension and set the number to the Direct SIP address (e.g [email protected]).

Do remember to enable Direct SIP under Settings >> Network >> FQDN.

Since you would have configured the BLF key via the Management Console, it will not get overwritten upon IP Phone provisioning.

However, do note that whether this is possible or not may depend on the phone, which exact model are you using?

Fanvil X6U and X5U

I have just tested the specific models and can confirm that the specific functionality cannot be configured via 3CX. That said, if you do want to manually configure the device to your liking, you can prevent the device from reprovisioning and overwritting the settings by remove the provisioning link from the auto provisioning field: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/manually-provision-fanvil/

Do bear in mind however that by doing so you will:

1. Render the device unsupported as it has been subject to manual configuration.
2. Lose the ability to push configuration changes via 3CX until the provisioning link is set back to the device or the device has been reprovisioned from scratch.

In the management console I enabled Direct SIP and changed the local sip domain to the provider: hxxx.XXXX.net. In the BLF for the extension I set [email protected], but receive extension not found.

I must be doing something wrong.

As I mentioned previously, whether this is possible to set through 3CX will depend on the IP Phone, the specific models cannot be configured via 3CX for this functionality. I do not know if this is possible by manually configuring the phone since this is not a supported configuration method, you will have to take it up with the vendor to find out.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, it can be setup in the phone.
I can add 20 SIP lines to the X6U phone and reference them via speed dial.

Would be nice if either 3CX BLF could be turned off for a specific location or reference the local phone Hxxx@SIPxx SIP Line.

I'm afraid that is not possible.

Thank you
