Request Remote Control does not work

I must be missing something obvious. I start a new web meeting with another user. I can see their screen but the "request remote control" is always greyed out. If I make that user an organizer, nothing changes. How can I request and control another users screen?

Please note that remote control requires a separate plugin to work so make sure that is available before you proceed. More information regarding the functionality of the feature can be found in the link below.

I have looked at that link. It does not match my experience. The request remote control button is greyed out so neither party can push it to get that dialogue box. I have searched for the remote control software and all that comes up is the Chrome plug-in (which is installed on both participants) and the 3CX OS X call manager application. There is no remote control software that I can find.

You must use Google Chrome in order for it to work.

Is the person who tries to request the remote control running Windows?

No. Both users are on Mac

Unfortunately the plugin required for the remote control to work is currently only available for windows so it will not work on Mac. I would recommend posting this as a feature request to our ideas section of the forum https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.
