Request to disable dnd

We have had a request from a customer to disable DND. Is this possible.

I have removed the function from the physical phones but some users are using the *61 code to stop calls reaching them.

They need a work around so internal extensions can call these extensions.

Any ideas.

Disabling the DND is not possible as it is hardcoded onto the PBX and cannot change.

Blocking a user from dialing the dial code is also not possible.

This sounds like it might be easier to solve via the people method...

Someone puts themselves on DND, they get written up.

Sooner or later, people stop or people aren't working there anymore.

You could write a tool to monitor an extension status and fire an alert when someone switches to DND.
