hi all

we have a potential customer that would use their 3CX mobile apps over wifi when in the office.

the PBX will be cloud based.

Is it possible to block them access when they leave the office?

I know theres the option to disable outbound, but can inbound or the app stop working at this point?

Can not be done automatically

You have to use one the statuses i.e. Available2 and untick 'Accept Push Notifications'

The status can be changed on the 3CX mobile app

Hi @kieferschild,

I'm afraid that Saqqara's suggestion won't help much as that won't stop users from changing it themselves. What you can do to stop outbound calling is set a office hours then go to Settings >> General >> Automatically disable Outbound calls on all Ports outside Office hours. As for incoming calls, you can set exceptions on the extension level to block everything outside of office hours.

Can they block ports at the firewall via scheduled rules?

Hi,
seems there is no nuild-in solution in 3cx (only allowing a group or an agent depending on schedule).

schedule on firewall rule is good idea but doesn't solve the issue as agents can have differents schedules + you maybe don't manage firewall of your vm (?)

if 3cx was on premise, you could have prevent this by denying outside connection with the firewall : when agents are in office, they are on local network and its works, and when they are outside, it can't work.

maybe just blacklist almost all ip except publics ip of office and some specific extra like your to not loose admin access ?
should works but you have to be carefull when you deny huge ip network (I suggest you keep a backup and test it when you have time to rebuild it if you loose total admin access).
