Restrict Internal Calls from Department or Extensions

Hi All,

I have a school where we are installing phones in classrooms.

Is there a way to restrict the extensions to calling say only one internal number?

I want to limit pupils from being able to make nuisance calls to other internal extensions.

If the phones being used have in internal dialplan, then that could be used to restrict calling. Other than that , only outbound rules comtrol/route calls in 3CX, and, as the name suggests, they don't apply to internal calls.

If you really only want the phone to call one number, check and see if your phone configuration supports a "hotline" feature, which would cause the phone to automatically call a specific configured number when it goes off hook.

Another possible option could be if the phone supports a limited lock feature which would prevent using the keypad except for programmed speed dial buttons.
