How does PIN Protect work? What is the Step by Steps on how to use it. What is the ?? seconds used for?

Hi ponch,

How does PIN Protect work?

The pin protect feature is to allow outbound calls only after they enter a PIN.
To unlock the extension, the user dials 777 followed by the PIN (Voicemail Pin Number) and a #.
The PBX will inform the user that access has been granted and the user can proceed to dial external numbers.

What is the Step by Steps on how to use it

Just enable this option on "Option" tab on extension settings. The field "For __ seconds" you can give to your user a space of outbound calls.

I set this up to test for an upcoming demo and I get a busy signal and the screen says "Forbidden" on my ver. 15 and Yealink phones. I verified the PIN info.

After you call the 777 IVR and enter the PIN does you get the prompt Access allowed by system?
What is the value you are using under the extension settings for Pin protect IVR?
