Ring Mobile Simultaneously vs Forwarding to Mobile

I have some dummy extensions for After Hours Mobiles for Staff. The phones dont/cant use the 3CX app unfortunately.

I am not sure the best way to divert to that Mobile, tick the box Ring Mobile Simultaneously or use the forward to mobile if busy or un registered.

Does Ring mobile simultaneously work if the the app is not on the phone or?

Any help appreciated.

I would use the forward to mobile. Both will do what you want though - regardless of the app being installed it will ring the number you put in there via your SIP trunk.

ring mobile simultaneously -
While the 3cx extension is ringing/before the timeout period of the current status/forwarding rules, also try to ring the mobile number

forward to mobile -
After the timeout period/forwarding rule setup is reached, send the call to the mobile number.

For an unregistered extension, it has 0 real impact. For a registered phone, forward to mobile could introduce a delay before the mobile number starts to ring.
