When Webclient > Settings > General > Use this device for calls is set to my desk phone and I use the Click to Call feature within Chrome, the call is initiated by the desk phone and I hear the ringback of the called number until they answer (or voicemail or whatever).
If the same setting is changed to 3CX Mobile Client when I click a number, I receive a call from "MakeCall" and when I answer, the outgoing call is initiated but instead of hearing the ringback, I hear my default On Hold music until the call is connected.
Is there a way to have the 3CX Mobile Client start the call the same way that the desk phone does?
Asking because, there have been times when the call is initiated and I'm just enjoying my On Hold music for a while and don't know that there is a "This number is no longer in service" message being played on the other end. Not a huge deal but would be nice if I could have the same functionality on the app.

@pmterp
Is the mobile client in foreground or in the background/locked device?

Either way I'm getting the same result. "MakeCall" appears and when I answer I see "Put on hold" in the upper right corner until the other party answers/completes the call.

Anyone else have any input on this? Is anyone else experiencing this or are you guys hearing the ringback?

I have the same issue when using click to call from Sales Force API with tenfold and 3CX. make call is established on hold but wont come off hold till the call is end to end. this is a problem for calls to a bad number or out of service etc.. it just leaves the user hanging on hold.. we need a ringback..

The first thing you should be aware is that the Make Call functionality is used to place calls to devices that do not support uaCSTA. The way this works is that the extension calls the PBX and the PBX calls the device. Once you pick up you are placed on hold by the PBX while it tries to reach the destination you are dialling.
This is the case with mobile agents as those do not support uaCSTA so when the client is selected under the web client the Make Call functionality is used to send calls to the phone.
So what is happening is the expected behaviour. If you would like the expected behaviour to change i would recommend posting your request on https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.
