Rinnovo Certificato SSL

Ciao,
Ho il certificato scaduto su un centralino. l'ho aggiornato alla versione 3CX Version 20, Update 6 RC, Build 20.0.6.675, April 2025 e se gratuito il comando CMD: "C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Bin\PbxConfigTool.exe" -renew-certificates.
Il comando non mi da nessun errore ma il certificato non si rinnova, cosa devo fare?

First, the server has full access to the internet in order to get the certificate to update properly.

Ensure that the command `PbxConfigTool.exe -renew-certificates` is executed with the necessary administrative privileges. Running the command without proper permissions might prevent it from executing correctly.

Verify if the SSL certificates are indeed expired or close to expiry. If they are not, the renewal process might not trigger any changes.

Check the 3CX event logs for any error messages related to SSL certificate renewal. Look for events like "SSL Certificate renewal has failed" which might provide more details.

Did you also do this?

From the management console of the pbx navigate to Settings / Parameters:
Set or Add TEMPORARY_SELF_SIGNED_CERTIFICATE_GENERATED and give it value of 1

And then after try CMD: "C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Bin\PbxConfigTool.exe" -renew-certificates.

Let us know if you have already done this, or if this now works?

Hi Paulo,

I just tried it and I'm getting this error:
nginx: [error] OpenEvent ("Global\ngx_reload_6004") failed (5: Access is denied)
I'm using a local administrator account and the command prompt is opened in administrative mode.
Also, the Instance1 folder is empty.

This is strange.
You have a question about the SSL not being able to udate, and now none is working at all ? what happend ?

Are you sure, that you are working on the 3CX server ? not local PC
