Hi there,

We have Cisco CUCM as our current telephony system and a have a Asterisk server as our SBC which is connected to public internet with one interface and connected to our local network with another interface to route calls starting with a 9 from Cisco CUCM to the SIP provider. (there is a SIP trunk between Cisco and Asterisk)
We are in migration phase to move from CUCM to 3CX V20 and at the first stage we planned to replace Asterisk with 3CX then we will move our end users one by one from CUCM to 3CX.
For this plan, we have configured a SIP trunk between 3CX and our public SIP provider (using a public IP) and it works fine if we place a call from a 3CX local extension to the public.
The challenge is when the call is coming from Cisco user. If we place a call (starting with a 9) from a Cisco Phone, the call comes to 3CX (we see it in the 3CX call logs) but 3CX outbound route is not getting matched with the call so the result is unavailable response.
Extension to Extension calls is working fine between 3CX and Cisco extensions. however, our Cisco users are not able to call the public with 9xxxxxxxxxxx
How can we force 3CX to apply outbound routes on the calls those are originating from the back end Cisco trunk?

Regards
Amir

Hello,

How have you trunked 3CX and Cisco, i.e., which device registers with the other?
