Greetings,

I had setup SMS routing via Bandwidth before the API change. After the change, I updated the SIP trunk with my Bandwidth portal credentials and everything worked fine. However, I can't now see where you control how SMS messages are routed. My extensions are receiving SMS messages just fine still, but I want to control how SMS messages are received by our main number and I can't see how to do this. Any suggestions?

SMS routing is now setup via the same inbound rules as for voice, thus following the same route.

1. If it's going to an IVR, you need to go into the new Webclient Admin > Call Handling, find the IVR, go to Options in it, and there will be "Forward SMS to:" and you can choose an extension or RG/Q for it there.

2. If it's going to a RG/Q (or an IVR that forwards to one), the messages will be distributed as usual depending on the take strategy. Also, this will allow all members of said group to use that DID for outbound SMS.

3. If it's going to an extension (like a direct line), then the user is also automatically allowed to use that DID for outbound and will receive incoming messages directly into their chat inbox.

Note that there is now the ability for a user to choose the outbound DID for a new SMS chat, so they can send via their direct line, or via the main number, etc.

Also, you can now transfer SMS conversations to other queues/ring groups when transferring one.
