I have a small routing issue with incoming calls coming in via a SPA3012, which I'm hopeful that someone in the community can help with

My 3CX server (6.0.664.0) is configured to route all incoming calls via the PSTN line to a designated extension, which isn't quite working as I would expect.

What happens is the incoming call is answered by the 3CX server, and gives the caller a dialtone. If the caller dosen't do anything, the dialtone stops after a number of seconds and gives the disconnected tone. If the caller presses some numbers on his phone (dosen't appear to matter which numbers they press), the 3CX server routes the call to extension number configured in the 3CX server.

I would have thought the routing would have occured without the caller having to do anything.... what changes to I need to make so that this routing occurs transparently to the incoming caller.

Thanks John

I believe the SPA3102 can has a feature that allows you to make outgoing calls thru the VOIP line after calling it's PSTN line without having to have it connected to a PBX. I haven't used that feature but I'm guessing its the option "VoIP Caller Auth Method" that should be set to "none" on the PSTN line tab. If it's set to PIN it might require some input before transferring? Henk might have a better idea if thats what that option does.

Justin,

it is pretty much like you said it is.

Remove all the Pin authorisation and see what happens.

====Note====
I get a LOT of spa3102 questions and emails, and I will get to them, I am a bit busy at work and also working on putting my server on full 12volts (solar) this includes the 3CX box. This is an interesting little project and takes a fair bit of time.

Thanks Henk and Justin

No PIN's were set, however I have changed anything that seems related - like "PSTN PIN Max Retry:" to a value of 0 - still no further ahead... dial in from the PSTN, and I get presented with a dialtone from the 3CX - and not immediately passed through to the assigned extension. Not at least until any single key is pressed on the calling phone. - this then seems to kick the 3CX to forward the call as configured in the 3CX

Thanks
John

Can you show is a log file from 3CX?

H.

Sorry,

If possible can you provide info of your PSTN tab?

Eg what is your Ans Call Without Reg setting? That should be set to "no".

For you FXO timer values:

VoIP answer delay: 0
PSTN Answer delay: 0
PSTN Ring Thru Delay: 2
