I read the article
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-and-yealink-rps.82121/

Every enlightening. I like the concept. We have SBC's at all locations. Even if it just 2 phones, some locations as many as 75.

Just want to make sure I understand the proper procedure to bring a new phone online.
1. Open 3CX console and add mac address to extension
2. Powerup new phone and connect to internet.
3. Wait a few minutes and it is done.
That's really all there is to it?

If RPS is enabled (by default it is), then yup. Simple as that.

Don't understand the statement "If RPS is enabled". Where is is enable and disabled. On the phone or in 3CX.

Just trying to get my head around this..

Thanks

it is enabled by default.

You will set up a phone, the MAC is sent to the phone provisioning server, your phone will go to this server when it's factory reset. RPS server will say "THERE YOU ARE" and give it its config.
