Hello,

I am working on a project of 3CX CRM Integration: Saleforce.

The server side is done. But on the client side, i can't manage to find the Salesforce plugin !

Is it included or should i downloaded and add it to 3CX??

Included a screenshot on how my CRM integration client side looks like:

Thank you

I think it is either or. If you do it client side, you have to change every client machine. If you do it server side, the server handles the process. They are replacing Client Side plugins with Server Side services.

Thank you for your response.

I have seen some people talking about the configuration on both sides: client and server.

Also we have another 3CX System, and i can't also find the Salesforce on client side, and the server side is not configured.

They have been slowly migrating from client to server on these. Older systems may still have the client side plugins.

We are deprecating the client side plugins for the integrations that we have a server side alternative. Salesforce is only provided server side now.

Kind regards.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I have another question.
In the case we are using clien side integration, we can configure each windows client with each stuff account of Salesfoce, and like this we can trace operations of each employee.

In the server side, is this possible?

Thank you

On the server side you only configure a single account. In any case, the server side integration will only get contacts on inbound calls, call journaling is not supported at the moment.

This means that Salesforce is not fully supportet?
Call journaling is a basic function on a used Sales CRM.

I think that these functions will be supported in server side integration in the future, because they are important. In my case because it was so important for our client, i contacted the support via our 3CX partner portal and they gave me the client side integration plugin, but since it is now deprecated, they won't offer any support in case of bugs......

The decision to no longer support client plugins and only offer server plugins is not a real alternative. Why are the client plugins no longer supported?

The server side integration is easier to configure, as you only need to do it once on the server, instead of configuring every client PC. We can't provide 2 different integration approaches, we will improve the server side integration to support journaling shortly.

Hi
thanks for your explain.
I could understand but our Clients was after 3CX updates many times surprised when functions will be kicked out without an official Statement or see in change log.

Hi Ernesto, could you give us an estimated timeframe for this to be implemented? Also, will call journaling identify which 3CX user placed or received the calls? If so, how will it push this to Salesforce so that Salesforce identifies to which of the users the calls belong? In other words, let's say that one of our sales agents, John Doe, received a call from a customer, will it show within Salesforce that the call was answered by John Doe, how long the call lasted for, etc.? Also, will outbound calls be logged to Salesforce in a similar manner? If we needed a solution immediately, could we still use the client-side integration? Would it be compatible with Mac clients?

Hello @conradit,

Call journaling for the server side integration with Salesforce will be available in v16. This is the next major release we'll be doing, and it's expected to be done before the end of the year.

Inbound and outbound calls will be logged in Salesforce for the agent that received or made the call.

Until this is done, you can use the Salesforce client side approach, however this is something you need to get from an old build as it's not available for download anymore from the 3CX console.

Kind regards.

Thanks for the good news edosantos.
I'll look forward.
