Salesforce CRM Integration

Hi There,

I hope someone can help. I have 2 questions.

- We did a salesforce integration that went pretty smooth. When looking up contacts from the 3cx to salesforce we can pick them up. The client however wants all the contacts to show on the 3cx. I was under the impression that it will import the contacts from salesforce to 3cx when doing the integration, but it is not. Is there a way to do this?
- Secondly what are all the actual features of the integration, the basics I know, call journaling, etc. Is there a link to a video that can explain this perhaps?

Please can someone assist?

Contacts are added to the phonebook on the first call to/from the number. It will then be updated on every successive calls to/from that number. It will not sync all contacts in one shot.

Those contacts appear in the mobile app and the Webclient/DesktopApp under Contacts > CRM. (No, they don't show up in "All".)

Can someone explain what is the logic \ reason why the Salesforce contact list does not auto sync in full to 3CX?

With the current setup, means we have to export the SF contacts and manually maintain the list in order to ensure that all users have access to the correct numbers. And to ensure that they use the correct CRM number for that first call.

Because when using a CRM, you're supposed to use it for calling, not the 3CX Contacts. 3CX just syncs the contact at the time of a call and then journals the call. It's job was never to be your CRM. There's Click2Dial.

Ok thx. However, in our case, we have users that does not login to CRM to make & receive calls. We use the integration for call journaling - create a task for every call made \ received.
