Hi There,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. If not sorry in advance.
I have a 2 channel sip trunk with 2 phone numbers from VOX (SA provider)
I also have 2 3CX instances each linked to the same sip trunk but with the inbound rule each set to its own number.

But i get all the calls in the one 3CX instance regardless of the number they are calling. I'm not sure if i have configured it wrong.

HI @aleczanderm

I am afraid that what you are doing is not really valid. Each PBX should have its own trunk. However since Vox is a registration based provider there might be a setting in the providers portal to route calls to different numbers to different IPs. But this is not something that can be controlled by 3CX. You will need to speak with your provider.

Oh okay, Thank you very much :) will chat to VOX then.

If your provider allows SIP forking (two devices registered at the same time), then in theory, calls should be presented to both PBXs. You could then "filter" the calls with DID rules as long as the call for the other PBX goes unanswered, on the second PBX. What I suspect may be happening is that the DID number sent does not match the DID rules you have created. In that case, the calls would follow the default rule for the trunk.

You may have to check the 3CX Activity Log to see if an incoming calls is being sent to both PBXs, as a start. This should also show the format of the DID number, to use in the rules.
