SBC IP Change

we've got a school that is going through a major network reconfiguration, their system is offsite (we couldln't post this in the self hosted area for some reason - system is NOT on prem) and the recent updates to 3cx now have their 3 SBCs as drop downs.

is it safe to assume, once I change the SBC local IP on their network and it re-links to the system, that every phone upon a reboot will grab the new local IP of the SBC? previously we had to enter the IP address in the provisioning field, but now it's just a drop down.

I as assuming once the SBC relinks the drop down stays the same, so a power cycle of the phones should bring them back online once they reach out and autoprovision again.

Just wanted to ask if anyone has done this when a customer changes their network structure.

I think deskphones should be ok to reprovision alone once the SBCs are up on new network Ip range.

Not having the exact same case as yours but I already changed a SBC to a new location and just needed to set it's new static LAN IP and then it reconnected alone to pbx. Deskphones are bring back alone in the same time.

Let me know if SBCs are running on Pi, if so, I can send you a tip to reconfigure them without having to reinstall

i'm also going to test this theory on our system after business hours, in my head it's gonna work now since the phone system no longer has an IP address in the phone provisioning field. it should auto update.

in my case I spend more time to change the IP settings on pi than time to bring back the phones once I restarted Pi SBC.
