Hi,

We are now about to deploy a second SBC in a new location.
I noticed when editing the /etc/3cxsbc.conf there are fields for
"ID=12345"
and "Bridge/12345"

My concern is as I already have a existing SBC, will adding another SBC overlap as both the defaults are in the file for bridge and ID are the same?
How are the ID fields used?
Anything I should consider when deploying a second SBC?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @mujin1

There is nothing to be concerned about when installing a second SBC for the same PBX. If you are adding a second SBC to the same location then you should be aware that PnP requests will only be displayed from one SBC in the management console so you may need to manually add the SBC IP in the provisioning page of the extension.
If the second SBC is in a new remote location then there are no caveats to the procedure.

Also in the upcoming SP2 update you will be able to add and monitor an SBC from the management console. https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/sbc-session-border-controller/

Great! thanks, I will go ahead with the deployment and looking forward to SP2!
