I have a raspberry pi 3 that was on V16, I created a fresh install with V18. what is the easiest way to configure it for V18 new instance.

By fresh install do you mean you did not restore a v16 backup? I'm asking because had you done so, you should've still been able to see the SBC in the PBX SIP Trunks section.

If you have not restored a backup you will have to re-install the SBC. Create the SBC entry on the PBX in the SIP Trunks section and then do the following:

If running Debian 9 for Raspberry try:
• SSH to the Pi
• Run the following one-by-one:
sudo apt remove 3cxsbc --purge
sudo apt autoremove
sudo apt autoclean
sudo apt update
• Proceed with the installation.

If running Debian 10 for Raspberry try:

• Run the following one-by-one:
sudo apt remove 3cxsbc --purge
sudo apt autoremove
sudo apt autoclean
sudo apt update
• Proceed with the installation.

If you face any issues with the above, you might want to consider re-flashing the SD with Debian 10 for Pi and configuring the OS and the SBC from scratch: https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-pbx-raspberry-pi/

Thank you. I went ahead and upgraded to Raspberry pi 4, so that it is easier for future upgrades.

Good call!

As this seems to be sorted I'll be marking it as solved!

Do let us know if you need anything else!
