Hello,
we use a Wake-Up-Call Service with User-Agent "VaxSIPUserAgent/3.1" which is blocked on 3CX (SEC_IGNORE_USER_AGENT) ... no problem - delete this User-Agent on the Block List and go on ...
Well ... but unfortunately the User-Agent re-appears every few Days / Weeks back on the List ... out of nowhere ...
Seems it's not saved permanently ....
Please fix this Bug ASAP as it breaks our wake-up-calls .... :-(
thx
Andreas Schnederle-Wagner

Hi,

That parameter is being overwritten during a PBX update that's why you see it being "reset" occasionally.

Hi @agp,
I did not (manually) trigger an Update since I last deleted the "VaxSIPUserAgent/3.1" out of SEC_IGNORE_USER_AGENT. (We are on Version 15.0.62928.5)
It's the 3. time that it "magically" reappeared and Wake-Up-Call Service was rendered useless because of this.
Can we find any Solution on this?
Thank you, bye from sunny Austria
Andreas

Again Wake-Up-Call Service did not work as VaxSIPUserAgent again appeared on the SEC_IGNORE_USER_AGENT ... without ANY UPDATE (still on Version: 15.0.62928.5).... @agp ... we need to find a Solution here ... please!

updated to 15.5SP1 ... deleted UserAgent Block ... and one day later it's back again on the block list ... and the best ... noone at 3CX cares about it ...

The list gets replaced every time the phone system is restarted. That - preconfigured - list is there for a reason, to keep your PBX safe. These User Agents are commonly being used by SIP hacking tools and are known to cause problems. If you whitelist any of them, your PBX will most probably be bombarded with malicious requests.

@agp - so you let the 3CX Admin configure that option - but then just ignore the Admin's wishes and silently overwrite the Config ot the PBX Admin back to preconfigured values ...
What this does: it renders a Wake-Up-Call Software we implemented in our Customers Hotel USELESS ...
And since the PBX is behind a Firewall where we already filter out malicious Traffic there is no security Threat for us when deactivating some User-Agent blocks ... (believe it or not .... some PBX Admins sometimes know what they do ...)

Now I can talk to the Customer that this Setup is no longer working since 3CX decides to overwrite what the PBX Admin configures ...
*shakes head*
